>>> We recently acquired property in the Sod area to build our third fire station. The new site is located on Midway Rd. just south of Cobbs Creek. This new fire station will serve the immediate communities of Sod, Sumerco, Garretts Bend, McCorkle and assist us in providing mutual aid to other departments. We look forward to providing a more efficient emergency response to these communities and lower insurance premiums.

The Alum Creek VFD is currently accepting applications for all types of membership. Please check out the membership section for details on each type of membership available.
Joining a volunteer fire department can be very rewarding and will provide an opportunity for you to make a difference in the community. Volunteers are special people that come from all walks of life but share in common goals. Most volunteers want to help others and see their own lives grow with the excitement of achieving goals. The Alum Creek VFD needs volunteers for many different positions and activities, you don't have to fight fires to serve on our department. Outside Burning and Forest Fire Season...
